Lake Tahoe is located on the biggest plateau in North of America area. The depth is 501 meters and Lake Tahoe is the deepest lake number two in United States after Crater Lake, that located in Oregon with its depth 593 meters.
The legend of Lake Tahoe – like people said – was created by evil spirit that chasing an honest and kind-hearted Indian. After the Indian had no way out, then “The Great Spirit” helped him by giving a pile of leaves while saying “If you drop one leave, then it will make a puddle that will make the evil spirit afraid of”. The Indian with fear dropped all the leaves and the land become a big lake that now called Tahoe or widely known as Big Water by Washoe Tribe. Washoe Tribe is a local Indian who leaves around Lake Tahoe.

Well, believe it or not, it is not the main story for us. We are going to talk more about the beauty of Lake Tahoe. The starting point is from Logan Shoals Vista Point. It is one of the places that we can enjoy the panorama of Lake Tahoe that officially managed by United States Forest Service. In fact, Logan Shoals Vista Point is not only the place where we can enjoy the vista, the place is also for holding some ceremonies like wedding ceremony.

From Logan Shoals Vista Point, we have to move to South Lake Tahoe after passing the Cave Rock Tunnel. It is a small town on Laake Tahooe seashore that becomes tourists’ favorite destination from any parts of the world during summer or winter. The place more crowded during winter.
The town has some souvenir shops, restaurants, hotels and a famous area for skiing called Heavenly. Most people play ski there while enjoying the spectacular vista of Lake Tahoe.

Explore more the area. There also many activities can be done around this area. During summer time we can do some activities like rock climbing, biking, boat on the crystal blue water and more activities. While during winter, we can do snowmobiles tour, ski, and other enjoyable activities.
