Lotus Temple is one of the beautiful attractions of the capital city of India: New Delhi. This place has amazing architecture and is a place of historical significance. It is situated near Kalkaji, New Delhi and built in the year 1986. Some people also know Lotus Temple with the name of ‘Bahai Temple’. It is one of the most visited places in India. There are two reasons for naming this temple as the Lotus Temple. The first one is that this temple is built in the shape of the lotus flower and the second reason is that this temple is a finest symbol of purity and love. The place has got a great liking by people due to its architecture, which was done by Fariborz Sahba who is a Persian Architect. There is high quality marble, dolomite, cement and sand used in the construction of this temple. The top view of this temple is like a half opened Lotus Temple. The architecture was completed in one decade and there were about 800 workers who contributed in the construction of this temple. The team of high end engineers, workers and technicians made it possible to construct the marvelous temple structure with a height of 40 meters.

Bahai faith believes in oneness of God, Mankind and religions. People believing in all religions and races can visit the temple as it doesn’t focus on believe in one particular idol or deity. Indeed, it is a place to worship the Universe Creator. There are no rituals or ceremonies to be performed in Lotus Temple and you can meditate or pray by sitting with many people around you. There is no music played inside the temple and nor are sermons shared. Bahai community offers different activities to the people interested in the Bahai way of life. The temple is visited by 10K people every day and millions every year.
